What We Collect

When you use Record Share, we collect:

• Account information — your email address and authentication credentials (password hash or Google account link).
• Screen recordings — video files you record and upload through the Chrome extension.
• Usage data — recording counts and storage usage to enforce plan limits.

How We Use Your Data

• To provide the recording and sharing service.
• To manage your account and subscription.
• To enforce usage limits based on your plan.

We do not sell your data to third parties.

Data Storage

Your recordings are stored on Cloudflare R2 object storage. Account data is stored in Cloudflare D1. All data is transmitted over HTTPS.

Third-Party Services

• Google OAuth — if you sign in with Google, we receive your email and profile ID.
• Stripe — if you subscribe to Pro, Stripe processes your payment. We do not store your payment details.
• Cloudflare — hosts our infrastructure (API, website, storage).

Chrome Extension Permissions

• storage — to persist your login session locally.
• tabs — to open the Google sign-in page and share links.
• notifications — to notify you when uploads complete.

The extension only communicates with api.recordshare.app.

Data Deletion

You can delete individual recordings from your dashboard. To delete your entire account and all associated data, use the option in Settings.
